1. Who we are
LHE Electrical ("LHE", "we", "us") is a licensed electrical contracting business operating in Victoria, Australia as a Registered Electrical Contractor with Energy Safe Victoria (REC 26562), servicing Mildura and surrounding districts including Red Cliffs, Merbein, Koorlong, Nangiloc, Colignan, and Wentworth. These terms govern any quote, booking, or work performed through lhe.com.au or arranged by phone.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are estimates based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. Final pricing may vary if the scope of work changes once a technician inspects the site. Where required, we will provide written confirmation of any price variation before proceeding, consistent with our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).
3. Consumer guarantees
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill and be fit for the purpose disclosed. Where a failure does not amount to a major failure, we will remedy it within a reasonable time.
4. Workmanship and compliance
All electrical work is carried out in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 (the Wiring Rules) and relevant Victorian legislation, including the Electricity Safety Act 1998 (Vic) and the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995 (Vic) where applicable. A Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) is lodged with Energy Safe Victoria for prescribed work, as required by law.
5. Cancellations and access
Booked appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled with reasonable notice. We are not liable for delays caused by site access issues, third-party trades, or supply authority outages outside our control.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services resupplied. This limitation does not apply to claims involving death, personal injury, or where excluding liability would contravene the Australian Consumer Law.
